HEADMASTER
CYRIL MICHEL
Dear families,
The people we meet, the places we go and the interactions we share help to shape who we are, from a very early age. It was this conviction that led me to the field of education. Inspired by passionate teachers, nurtured by a multilingual family environment and driven by the desire to pass on knowledge, I chose this profession with enthusiasm and dedication.
Over the last 28 years, I’ve been lucky enough to work in French and international schools, both in France and abroad. My career path has allowed me to take on a variety of roles: primary school teacher, specialist teacher of pupils with learning difficulties, school headmaster and headteacher. These experiences have enriched me deeply, consolidating my vision of a caring, inclusive and forward-looking education.
My priority, shared by all our teams, is to offer children a setting where they feel happy to come every day. We strive to create a reassuring and caring environment, conducive to learning that is varied, stimulating and rich in discovery. Awakening their curiosity is at the heart of our concerns, as is the link with you, the families. Together, we can build a solid and fulfilling educational experience.
I am delighted to be joining the team at La Petite Ecole Ho Chi Minh City. I’m delighted to be able to continue and enrich the projects already in place, while developing new initiatives to support your children in their learning. I’ll be putting all the passion, drive and dedication that have driven me since the start of my career into this.
Cyril Michel – Headmaster of La Petit Ecole Ho Chi Minh
I am honored to run an establishment like this and to support each of our pupils as they develop personally and academically.
TÂM NGUYEN
I went back to my country of origin for a short experience and ended up staying there for over ten years. My children were born here and I settled in nicely in both my professional and private lives.
I studied to become a special-needs teacher and have worked in several institutions in France (including homes for children in difficulty or from disadvantaged backgrounds). I oversaw groups of children in a nursery in HCM before becoming a nursery manager, and then later a general administrative manager.
My role is primarily focused on the human being, hence the need to show empathy and warmth and be caring towards both children and their families. I am delighted to take on the role of Executive Director and Chief Administrative and Accounting Officer this year.
